Will I see again

When the smoke that blinds

The soul evoked vision

When masks of ease –

Tormented content –

Fall flailing, failing

Lost to sight,

When invisible arms

Hold aloft the dream

To see, to strive, to feel,

On horizons taut

And stretching wings

Elusive whispered beast,

Draws breath to life

Holds back the shroud

And now I see again.
