Hold on to your thoughts

Though the movement is near

All things will change

But never from here.

The wheel it will turn

Seven ages in time

All things are new

Except that which is mine.

Feel the thunder

Tear from within

The fear that rises

Lights up the horizon

Guides us from our course

And binds us from truth

The excitement of fear

Makes all things seem new.

When movement is gone

The angel of lore

All things will be

As they were before.

The fear of great change

Leads us to pray

In the thunder of peace

To the land gods of day.

When movement is gone

The angel of lore

All things will be

As they were before.

This is the second poem in a series inspired by the I-Ching (as promised!)
