Like a phoenix I rise

In the midsummer sky

Like a phoenix I rise

Clear of thought and of eye.

Like a phoenix I rise

See a future from high

Like a phoenix I rise

Perfection under the sky.

I stand correct on my course

A mirror of you

Transforming your thoughts

To brightness and truth.

All my weapons are near

Defending good heart

In the shell that I wear

Of devotion and truth.

In the sun I am strong

Diffusing its light

Transforming your thoughts

To brightness and truth.

In fire we are seen

Your thoughts become clear

Sense of virtue we deem

 Good fortune and truth

This is the fifth poem in the series inspired by the eight tri-grams of the I-Ching
