And when they come

And crawl into my night,

Their limbs entwined

Like Russian vines,

You will be there.

And though they try

To choke the thoughts,

And smother all

My heart can hold,

You will be there.

And as the veil

Draws tighter still,

And kills the light

That strains to find,

You will be there.

And all I hope

Behind my eyes,

As darkness falls

To endless light,

Is that I

Will be there too.
