Within the contorted shell
Your wreckage lies
The man-made prison
Imploring eyes.
Twisted cage, restraining heart
Blood and vigour
Twitching grasping life
Wants another.
Beyond the broken shattered
Shell that once was
Called to love by one
You never knew.
As rivers red flow on
A release from
Pain you could not know
Throbbing hollow drum.
White light falters, fades too fast
No tunnel calls
Emptiness is left
Deep in your soul.
