I am delighted to announce that ‘The Beautiful Silence‘, my second collection of short stories is now available to purchase as an ebook at all good outlets for just £2.99!
Thank you in advance and I hope that you enjoy the stories.

‘The Beautiful Silence‘ is the second collection of short stories to be published by Chris Nelson. It contains sixteen stories with each one focused around the impact of one event on its central character: some may be fantastical, some introspective and yet more haunting and disturbing.
Congrats
Thanks!
Most welcome 🙂
Congrats, Chris. Way to go.
It’s not Kindle, is it? I wish I could buy an ebook on Amazon. Is it planned, sometime in the future?
It will be and hopefully very soon. I have submitted it but, apparently, it might not appear on Kindle for another week or two. I’m going to keep my eye on it! And thanks!
Will be waiting…
🙂
Amazing, and great cover art. All the best with the edition!
Thanks, Mark. The artwork is my wife’s. It is available via the link and should be up on Kindle very soon.
Whoop, excellent!
That’s amazing news! Congratulations on getting it published & hope your indie marketing all goes well. 😀 Hope it gets plenty of traction in the build-up to Christmas!
Thanks, Tom. Marketing is not really my forte – but who knows?
It isn’t mine either 😉 Mostly a hope and a prayer.
Did it take quite a while to decide which stories to include and polish them up, or did you have a reserve of good choices to pick from?
Good question. I think the first step was to look at what there was and decide on the ones that I would reject immediately. From there it was a case of seeing which Fitted what I wanted and thinking a bit about running order. I’m not sure whether this us a similar process for yourself?
Quite similar for me, yes. I had more than enough choice from my backlog of stories, so there were a few I definitely wanted to include from the start, and the main challenge was picking specific ones to suit each century I was covering.
